Distribution Cache Shipping Info and Options
Shipping Carriers: Here at Distribution Cache we ship using UPS, FedEx, DHL, or TNT. In most cases we get very competitive rates based on our volume and will be happy quote shipping cost to your location upon request. We also know that many customers would prefer to ship collect on their own account numbers and welcome this option.
Shipping Blind: We recognize that many of our customers intend to re-sell the product to their end user. We respect our customer’s relationships with their clients and offer blind shipping as an option to ensure that the package arrives in the most clandestine way possible.
Shipping Process: We take pride in the way we package your order and spare no cost in making sure that it arrives safely at your facility. In the case of new parts, we are always sure to package the factory box inside another larger box for safe transit. For reconditioned parts we often use Distribution Cache customized packaging that is specially made to protect the products from the bumps and falls present during shipment.
Shipping Options:
Next Day Air Early AM - This service is the fastest overnight delivery option available. For most locations the package will be guaranteed by 8:30AM.
Next Day Air – This service guarantees delivery by 10:30AM and is the most frequently used option for overnight shipments.
Next Day Air Saver – This cost saving overnight alternative guarantees delivery by 3PM the next day.
2nd Day Air – For domestic shipments that would take 3-5 days if shipped via Ground, sometimes having the order in 2 days is a great way to go
Ground – Ground is the most inexpensive shipping option provided. Please ask if we are doing a “free domestic ground” shipping promotion on your order. We often provide free ground shipping on larger orders.
Emergency Courier – At times we can help work with a courier service to get the part to your facility during downtimes scenarios. We prefer that the customer sets up the courier but we can be there to make sure the product is handed off to the driver. Please give us a call to see if this is an option on your order.
Please Note: Products listed as “ships today” can ship same-day if an order is placed before 4PM. For larger drives and motors we ask that notification for same-day shipments be provided by 2PM at the latest. For any products listed as “ships in 3-5 days”, please give us a call to see if this can be expedited.
What are GV3000 Bookshelf Drives?
The GV3000/SE AC Bookshelf drive is a PWM (pulse-width-modulated) drive that supplies vector and general purpose regulation for a broad array of uses.
Using vector regulation, high dynamic response can be provided by keeping total rated motor torque at zero speed, and also control motor speed both ways. The drive can supply this functionality either with encoder feedback (flux vector control or FVC) or without (sensorless vector control or SVC).
Using general purpose (volts/hertz or V/Hz) regulation, the drive is suitable for a wide array of applications requiring flexible speed control of motors.
What is Enclosure Rating on my GV3000 drive?
GV3000/SE Bookshelf drives have an IP20 evaluation. An IP evaluation designates the enclosure’s degree of protection. The first number (2) suggests the enclosure protection against solid objects greater than 12 mm. The next number (0) signifies the enclosure isn't watertight. Notice the drive is designed to be used inside a bigger, user-supplied enclosure.
What is the Regulator Board?
A microprocessor on the Regulator board performs actual drive regulation. The Regulator panel accepts an external speed reference signal and power circuit feedback signals, along with information from an encoder that's connected to the motor when set up for FVC regulation.
The Regulator panel supplies PWM gating signals to the IGBT power apparatus. On the basis of the output signal from the control loop, the regulator sends PWM gating signals to the gate drivers to the isolated gate drivers. These drivers change the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs), generating a PWM waveform that corresponds to the rate (FVC regulation) or frequency (V/Hz regulation) benchmark. The IGBTs may be changed at either a 2, 4, or 8 kHz carrier frequency.
What does the Keypad/Display do on my GV3000 drive?
The front panel keypad/screen is utilized to program and use the drive. The four-character screen is utilized to signal drive parameters and error codes. The fourteen single LEDs indicate drive status and operating mode, in addition to identifying drive output signals.
Consult with the GV3000/SE Bookshelf Drive Software Start Up and Reference manual (D2-3426) to find out more regarding the keypad/screen.
What are General Requirements for the Installation Site of a GV3000 drive?
It is necessary to plan before installing a GV3000/SE Bookshelf drive to make sure the drive’s environment and operating conditions are suitable. Notice that no apparatus can be mounted behind the drive. This place should be kept clear of all power and control wiring. Before continuing with drive setup read these instructions.
How do I Making Sure Environmental Conditions are Met for Installation of my Drive?
Before deciding on an installation site, consider the following guidelines:
Verify that drives can be kept clean, cool, and dry.
The area chosen should allow the space required for proper air flow as defined in section 3.1.3.
Be sure that drives are away from oil, coolants, or other airborne contaminants.
Do not install the drive above 1000 meters (3300 feet) without derating output power. For every 91.4 meters (300 feet) above 1000 meters (3300 feet), derate the output current 1%.
