The 196632C-02L NI 2815B 4x86, 0.3 A Reed Matrix for NI SwitchBlock is a crucial component designed by National Instruments to be utilized in SwitchBlock systems. This particular module, also known as the SWB-2815, can drive up to 61 relays simultaneously, each with Ruthenium contacts tested to withstand 2.5 x 10 to the 8th cycles. With a maximum switching voltage of 100 VDC and a maximum switching current of 0.25 A per channel, this module can achieve up to 3 watts of maximum switching power per channel. It is important to note that the NI SWB-2815 is a card and must be mounted on a carrier device, such as the NI-2800 PXI based matrix module carrier. This module supports a 4 x 86 matrix, 1-wire configuration but can be expanded using multiple modules or different SwitchBlock modules. This Category I device is capable of handling signal voltages under 100 VDC or 70 Vrms and has been tested to withstand surge voltages of up to 500 V. For those looking to create a customized switch system, the SWB-2815 is an essential and versatile option.
