Part number 189247B-01 refers to the NI PXI-4220, a 16-Bit, 2-Channel, 333 kS/s PXI Strain/Bridge Input Module manufactured by National Instruments. This module is commonly used for various bridge sensors such as load cells, strain, and pressure sensors. It offers programmable excitation, bridge configuration, filtering, and amplification per channel, along with a concurrent sample-and-hold capability to eliminate inter-channel phase delay. Each input channel features a 9-pin D-SUB connector for easy connection to programmable shunts and calibration circuitry. The module also allows users to set excitation levels and select filter cutoff frequencies. It can utilize an external time base or an internal 20 MHz master time base. The PXI-4220 is compatible with NIDAQmx driver software and various application development environments. Despite being announced as obsolete by National Instruments, Apex Waves still offers the PXI-4220 for purchase and repairs. Calibration services are also available, with options for both NIST accredited and basic in-house calibrations. This module measures 6.3 x 3.9 x 0.79 inches and operates within a temperature range of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius.
