183039F-33 National Instruments SCXI-2000 4-Slot Chassis with RS-232 and RS-485 Interface, 100V The NI SCXI-2000 Chassis can hold four SCXI modules maximum. This Chassis is powered with regular AC power and supplies an environment with minimal noise for signal conditioning, providing power, and control circuitry for the SCXI modules. This General-Purpose Chassis can be utilized with current and future SCXI modules, making it a diverse model perfect for users with versatile application demands. There are many types of optional devices which can also be used with the SCXI 2000 to amplify, filter, isolate, and multiplex different signal types, including: thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, strain gauges, digital I/O signals, analog outputs, current inputs, and high-voltage inputs. There are also cables and terminal blocks with screw terminals, BNC connectors, or thermocouple plugs available to link the users modules as well. The National Instruments SCXI-2000 Chassis comes with the NI-DAQ driver software. NI-DAQ has an expansive library of functions that can be called upon by the user from their application programming settings. Some of the functions included are sequences for analog input, buffered data acquisition, analog output, waveform generation, digital I/O, counter/timer operations, SCXI, RTSI, self-calibration, messaging, and obtaining information to the extended memory. On the front panel of the NI SCXI-2000, there are status LEDs which specify the Chassis activity. There is also an RS-232 connector, a power switch, an indicator light, a reset button, slot 0/power supply, a backplane, DIP switches, module guides, and front threaded strips. On the back panel, there are back threaded strips, a back connector space, a power entry module, a fuse, backplane fuses, a fan and filter, and a voltage selection wheel. SCXI-2000 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Chassis will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
