780569-01 NI PCIE-8231, GIGE Interface Board Only Kit National Instruments PCIe-8231 Frame Grabber Device is a 1-Port Frame Grabber Device with a GigE Vision interface, designed for cameras that send pictures via gigabit Ethernet. GigE Vision is ideal for vision applications that require long cable distances or more affordable cabling. Although the cabling is less complicated, an additional cable is needed to provide power to the camera. The NI Vision Acquisition software is compatible with any gigabit Ethernet controller, but is optimized for Intel gigabit Ethernet controllers. The PCIe-8231 provides the necessary bandwidth for challenging vision applications. To operate the PCIe 8231, you will need an Ethernet cable, NI Vision Acquisition Software 8.2.1 or later, a GigE Vision Camera, NI Vision Acquisition Software Release Notes, and a computer with Windows 2000/XP and at least one PCIe slot. Additionally, optional software packages and documentation such as Microsoft Visual Basic, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, NI Vision Development Module, and NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection can be used with the NI PCIe-8231. The PCIe-8231 is designed for a x1 PCIe slot but can also fit into and be used in x4, x8, or x16 PCIe slots. It is important to be cautious when installing this Frame Grabber Device to avoid damaging the computer motherboard and the device itself. Next Day Air Early AM - This service is the fastest overnight delivery option available. For most locations the package will be guaranteed by 8:30AM.
Next Day Air – This service guarantees delivery by 10:30AM and is the most frequently used option for overnight shipments.
Next Day Air Saver – This cost saving overnight alternative guarantees delivery by 3PM the next day.
2nd Day Air – For domestic shipments that would take 3-5 days if shipped via Ground, sometimes having the order in 2 days is a great way to go
Ground – Ground is the most inexpensive shipping option provided. Please ask if we are doing a “free domestic ground” shipping promotion on your order. We often provide free ground shipping on larger orders.
Emergency Courier – At times we can help work with a courier service to get the part to your facility during downtimes scenarios. We prefer that the customer sets up the courier but we can be there to make sure the product is handed off to the driver. Please give us a call to see if this is an option on your order.
