Description

The part number 779707-01 NI 9852 is a 2-Port Low-Speed/Fault Tolerant CAN Module from National Instruments, featuring two CAN bus connections. Each port includes support for 11 and 29 bit identifiers and baud rates up to 125 Kbps, with the option to connect the CAN bus reference ground for improved signal integrity in noisy environments.

The part number 779707-01 NI 9852 is a 2-Port Low-Speed/Fault Tolerant CAN Module from National Instruments. This C Series CAN Interface Module features two 9-stick male D-Sub connectors for CAN bus connections. All signals must be connected using twisted pair cable, with each slot having two isolated common pins (COM) internally connected to the module's isolated reference. Users have the option to connect the CAN bus reference ground (CAN_V-) to the COM pin. Each port also includes an optional shield pin (SHLD) for improved signal integrity and EMC performance in noisy environments. The maximum number of nodes that can be connected depends on the electrical characteristics of the nodes, with more than 32 nodes possible if they meet the Low-Speed/Fault-Tolerant CAN requirements. The NI-9852 features two fully independent CAN ports with support for 11 and 29 bit identifiers thanks to the Philips SJA1000 CAN controller. Each port also includes a Philips TJA1054A Low-Speed/Fault-Tolerant CAN that complies with the ISO 11898 standard and supports baud rates up to 125 Kbps. Please note that the system rest mode is different from the NI 9852 Transceiver Mode Sleep property.
